{"id":189,"date":"2011-03-14T20:23:44","date_gmt":"2011-03-14T12:23:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ckphoto.net\/blog\/?p=189"},"modified":"2011-03-14T21:27:30","modified_gmt":"2011-03-14T13:27:30","slug":"british-museum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.ckphoto.net\/blog\/2011\/03\/british-museum","title":{"rendered":"Great Court, British Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the centre of the <a title=\"British Museum\" href=\"http:\/\/www.britishmuseum.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">British Museum<\/a> is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishmuseum.org\/the_museum\/history_and_the_building\/great_court.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Queen Elizabeth II Great Court<\/a> (or simply known as the Great Court). The cylindrical Reading Room lies in the middle, and a massive steel and glass provides a skylight for the courtyard it encloses.<\/p>\n<p>I was trying to find a good vantage point from which to shoot this magnificent structure, and after walking around the court yard, I spotted an open window on the 3rd level of the galleries which might be a good spot.<\/p>\n<p>Excitedly I went up to the 3rd floor and am glad to find that the window is accessible and unobstructed. I decided to go for a panoramic stitch as I wanted as much coverage both vertically and horizontally.
